Sr. Linux Administrator

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Linux Administrator for a Contract with a client in Montvale, NJ. Candidate must have strong expertise in Linux administration with required hands‑on experience in kernel‑level debugging and performance tuning.

Rate Range: $56/hour to $59/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr. Linux Administrator job responsibilities include:

• Oversee management and troubleshooting of Linux services including DNS, NIS, LDAP, Altair Accelerator, and IBM LSF.

• Execute kernel‑level debugging, patching, and performance tuning for optimized system performance.

• Automate routine operational tasks using Ansible, Python, and shell scripting to improve efficiency.

• Ensure secure system environments aligned with CISSP best practices and organizational standards.

• Partner with cloud and storage teams to support and maintain hybrid deployment environments.

• Maintain clear documentation and version control for installed software and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field.

• 6–8 years of hands‑on Linux/Unix administration experience.

• Required strong experience managing Linux services including DNS, NIS, LDAP, Altair Accelerator, and IBM LSF.

• Required hands‑on expertise in automation using Ansible, Python, and shell scripting.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $59.00 per hour
