Preschool Director - Lake Stockwell

Overview:

The Preschool Director position is for assisting the Camp Director in developing and implementing daily preschool program as well as the supervision of the Preschool Counselors.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the general safety and supervision of campers in assigned group as well a 5-6 staff members.
• Responsible for the direct supervision and support of the Preschool Counselors which includes ensuring adequate inventory for each program area.
• Assist Camp Director in developing and implementing schedule changes, special events, etc.
• Supervise and participate in all assigned aspects of the campers’ day which includes but is not limited to: Camper check-in and check-out; attendance; meal times; activities and extended am and extended pm duties as assigned.
• Attend and participate in two weeks of Leadership Staff Training and General Staff Training.
• Conduct at least one written performance review with staff during the summer.

Qualifications:

• The incumbent must be 20 years of age or older.
• Possess leadership skills that can assist in encouraging and motivating campers.
• Knowledge in safety, care of equipment and supplies, inventory, skill instructions and progressive age appropriate programming is required.
• Ability to teach songs, crafts, games, stories, sports, and related skills is preferred.
• Show enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility and maturity and have the ability to interact and communicate clearly with campers, parents and staff.
• Bachelor’s of the Arts of Bachelor’s of Science in Recreation, Physical Education, Education or related field is preferred (or working toward degree).

Posted Salary Range: USD $450.00 - USD $500.00 /Wk.
