ITAM Technical Consultant USA

Our client, a global leader in Digital Transformation, is hiring a ITAM Technical Consultant to join their U.S. team remotely on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring and delivering innovative ServiceNow ITAM solutions that enhance operational efficiency, ensure compliance and provide greater visibility into their clients’ IT assets.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and deploy ServiceNow ITAM modules, including Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM).

• Ensure seamless integration with the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to maintain accurate asset records.

• Partner with clients to capture requirements, evaluate current workflows and advise on ITAM best practices within the ServiceNow platform.

• Build and customize solutions using JavaScript, Flow Designer and REST/SOAP APIs to support ITAM functionality.

• Integrate ServiceNow ITAM with key systems such as SCCM, JAMF, Tanium, ServiceNow Discovery and procurement platforms.

• Enhance compliance and audit preparedness by implementing license tracking, reclamation processes and cost optimization strategies.

• Develop comprehensive documentation and training materials, and deliver interactive sessions for end-users and stakeholders.

• Continuously monitor ServiceNow updates and ITAM innovations to recommend and implement proactive improvements.

Skillset

• At least three years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, with a focus on ITAM, SAM or HAM modules.

• Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks, asset lifecycle management and software license compliance.

• Proven expertise in JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, and Flow Designer for solution development.

• Practical experience integrating with external discovery and inventory tools.

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist in ITAM, SAM or HAM is a plus.

• Experience working in Agile environments using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.

• Familiarity with ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, Procurement and Vendor Management capabilities.

• Background in consulting or client-facing roles, with a strong focus on delivering value-driven solutions.

• Exceptional communication, collaboration and analytical problem-solving skills.
