We operate as a fully remote company, providing our sales professionals with flexibility and autonomy to manage their territories while delivering exceptional customer service.

The Opportunity

As an Outside Sales Representative, you'll manage and develop an established portfolio of accounts across Metro New York, New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania including investor-owned utilities, municipal power authorities, electrical distributors, contractors, and consulting engineers.

This is a 100% remote, field-based position. You'll work from home and spend the majority of your time traveling throughout the territory for in-person customer visits, trade shows, industry conferences, and manufacturer training programs. Many of our senior team members started in exactly this role and built successful, lasting careers.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management: Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers through regular site visits and responsive communication

Technical Sales: Present and promote electrical equipment solutions including switchgear, transformers, conductors, insulators, protective relaying, and substation/distribution products

Territory Development: Identify opportunities, develop account strategies, and execute plans to achieve sales quotas

Project Coordination: Work with manufacturers and internal team to provide quotations, technical support, and post-sale service

Market Intelligence: Track utility capital programs, transmission/distribution projects, and competitive landscape

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Business, or related field preferred)

Relevant experience through internships, co-ops, or 1-2 years in a professional role

Strong communication skills with ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences

Self-motivated and disciplined to work independently in a remote environment

Competitive drive and goal-oriented mindset with track record of achievement

Technical aptitude and curiosity to learn complex electrical systems

Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for regular travel throughout Metro NY, NJ, and Eastern PA

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with electric utility industry, electrical equipment, or power systems

• Sales, business development, or account management experience

• Engineering degree or technical coursework in electrical systems

• Background in competitive athletics, leadership roles, or entrepreneurial ventures

Compensation & Benefits

Financial Package

Base salary: $70,000 - $100,000 based on experience

Performance bonus: Discretionary year-end bonus based on territory performance

Territory & Work Environment

Coverage Area: Metro New York, New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania

Work Model: 100% remote with no physical office. Work from home with regular field visits throughout the territory.

Travel: 3-4 days per week in the field for customer visits. Occasional overnight travel for trade shows, conferences, and manufacturer training.

Location Requirement: Must reside within or near the territory (Metro NY, NJ, or Eastern PA).
