Site Manager Warehouse Operations
Job Overview
The Site Manager is the senior operational leader responsible for the performance execution and continuous improvement of a designated warehouse facility. This role has full ownership of onsite operations including inbound outbound inventory quality staffing and customer execution.
The Site Manager leads all onsite teams ensures adherence to operating procedures and service level agreements and drives results that meet customer and business expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound Operations
Oversee inbound dock scheduling labor planning and receiving operations
Ensure timely receiving inventory accuracy and proper put away
Identify escalate and resolve receiving issues without delay
Outbound Operations
Plan and manage outbound waves labor allocation and daily shipping volume
Ensure damage free handling on time shipment and SLA compliance
Proactively address volume spikes delays and capacity constraints
Inventory Management
Approve inventory adjustments and lead root cause investigations
Ensure inventory accuracy and adherence to standard operating procedures
Coordinate cycle counts audits and inventory variance reporting
Quality Assurance and Quality Control
Implement and audit quality control procedures and checklists
Lead corrective actions to address defects damages or recurring issues
Train teams on proper handling requirements and client specific quality standards
Staffing and Temporary Labor Management
Forecast labor needs and request temporary staffing when required
Manage daily schedules coverage and productivity
Monitor temporary staff performance and escalate discrepancies to senior management
Support Ticket Management
Oversee warehouse related ticket queues and response times
Escalate urgent operational issues and ensure resolution timelines are met
Audit resolution quality and contribute to trend and root cause analysis
Shipping and Delivery
Oversee dock operations carrier coordination and pickup scheduling
Resolve last mile delivery issues with transportation partners
Investigate document and report delivery failures and damage trends
Documentation and Compliance
Ensure all shipments are accurately labeled and properly documented
Train staff on client and regulatory documentation requirements
Conduct spot audits to ensure compliance and document control
Billing and Invoicing Support
Approve operational logs and confirm service completion for billing
Review billing inputs for accuracy prior to submission
Investigate and escalate billing discrepancies as needed
Collections Support
Provide documentation to support warehouse related charge disputes
Partner with customer service teams to validate operational billing accuracy
Customer Onboarding and SOP Alignment
Ensure warehouse readiness for new customer onboarding
Validate feasibility of operating procedures before go live
Support pilot runs and provide execution feedback to customer success teams
Client and Relationship Management
Represent warehouse operations in client meetings and site visits
Align floor level execution with customer expectations
Build accountability ownership and solution oriented culture within the team
Skills and Qualifications
Ten or more years of warehouse or distribution center experience with at least five years in a leadership role
Demonstrated success managing high volume operations and diverse teams
Strong working knowledge of WMS inventory control and fulfillment metrics
Excellent leadership communication and process improvement skills
Ability to operate effectively in fast paced environments with frequent interruptions
Fluent in English
Spanish fluency preferred
