Job Title: CT Scan Technologist (Contract)

Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Weekly Pay Range: $2,250 – $2,437.50

Schedule:

• Shift: Evening (1:00 PM – 9:30 PM)

• Days: Monday to Friday

• Weekends: Every third weekend required
  
  Weekly Hours: 40

• Perform advanced CT procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images.

• Review patient history, physician requisitions, and contrast questionnaires with precision.

• Administer and monitor contrast media under established protocols.

• Operate Siemens CT systems and use PACS for image acquisition and storage.

• Evaluate images for diagnostic accuracy and quality.

• Collaborate with physicians to confirm appropriate imaging studies.

• Accurately document in EPIC and manage insurance verification and authorizations.

• Coordinate external imaging studies and ensure availability of comparison images.

• Educate patients and families on exam procedures; provide copies of studies when required.

• Ensure patient comfort and preparedness before, during, and after procedures.

• Perform venipuncture and establish IV access in accordance with protocol.

• Respond promptly to patient complications or contrast reactions.

• Maintain imaging equipment and follow departmental safety standards.

• Support weekend, holiday, and on-call duties as needed.

• Comply with facility protocols for professionalism, ID policies, attendance, and conduct.

• Deliver care and communication that is age-appropriate and culturally sensitive.

• Must be physically capable of lifting 25 lbs., pushing/pulling 50 lbs., and standing for at least 6 hours per day.

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience, preferably with Siemens equipment

• In-depth understanding of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning

• Proficient with PACS and EPIC systems

• Knowledge of contrast media protocols and CT safety procedures

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently in a high-volume setting

• NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License

• ARRT Certification – R.T. (R)
