Overview:

Creekside Farm is seeking an amiable and outgoing retail associate to join our team at the farm market! This role centers around providing exceptional customer service, primarily stationed at the register, with additional tasks to fulfill. While prior farm market experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Expect to engage in various activities including assisting with product deliveries, stocking shelves, and undertaking general outdoor tasks. This is a full-time position with compensation commensurate with experience. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for weekends, is essential. Responsibilities:

• Be proficient in our point of sale system to efficiently handle customer transactions and payments.
• Aid customers in locating high-quality products.
• Perform daily reconciliation of cash drawers.
• Maintain inventory integrity by rotating stock and ensuring cleanliness and organization of produce displays, refrigerators, freezers, and shelves.
• Uphold standards of excellence by ensuring top-quality produce and merchandise availability.
• Participate in outdoor sales events for seasonal offerings.
• Demonstrate the ability to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 40lbs, and engage in occasional general outdoor labor.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
• Manage incoming calls, exhibiting effective communication skills and adeptly taking messages.

Experience:

• Proficiency in basic register operations and cash handling procedures.
• Fundamental knowledge of food and produce.
• Familiarity with flowers and plants.
• Strong organizational aptitude, capable of multitasking efficiently.
• Prior experience in farm market and retail environments is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
