Salary: $60,000 - $90,000 + Commission
Schedule: M-F, 8AM-5PM
Job Description:
The Sales Business Development Manager is responsible for expanding the organization’s market presence, strengthening its brand, and driving revenue growth. The candidate will build and manage client and partner relationships, generate new business opportunities, and collaborate closely with leadership and operations to ensure competitive, compliant, and sustainable growth across domestic and international markets.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Client Relationships: Manage and grow relationships with existing and prospective clients and strategic partners, both domestic and international, in coordination with Operations Management and internal teams.
Business Development: Generate new, qualified sales opportunities through outbound sales activities, including prospecting, lead follow-up, and pipeline development.
Sales Consulting: Present and recommend services or solutions that align with client or partner needs, ensuring offerings are accurately represented and commercially viable.
Key Account Management: Engage with key accounts on pricing, service expectations, and long-term planning, ensuring transparency and consistency with company policies.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, agreements, and rates with clients, partners, and vendors in accordance with company guidelines and applicable laws.
Pricing Strategy: Analyze market trends and competitive data to support pricing strategies, clarifying that final pricing decisions are subject to leadership approval and internal controls.
Contract Administration: Prepare, issue, update, and maintain sales contracts and agreements, ensuring proper authorization, documentation, and recordkeeping.
Strategic Partnerships: Develop and manage partnerships with carriers, truckers, warehouses, and overseas partners to enhance service quality and cost competitiveness.
Carrier Management: Maintain working relationships with ocean and air carriers to support reliable and compliant transportation solutions.
Growth Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to propose new business verticals and strategic initiatives, with decisions subject to executive review and organizational priorities.
Client Engagement: Conduct virtual and in-person meetings with clients and prospects to qualify opportunities, present services, and advance sales discussions, with travel expectations clearly communicated in advance.
Reporting Structure: Report directly to the Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, ensuring regular updates on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights.
Qualification Requirements:
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Korean, required for business communication with clients and partners.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, as permitted under U.S. employment guidelines.
Industry Experience: At least 10 years of experience in logistics and or supply chain operations.
Sales Experience: At least 10 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or marketing roles.
Negotiation Skills: At least 10 years of experience in business negotiation, conflict resolution, and cross-functional collaboration.
Technology Skills: Strong proficiency with business systems, data tools, and sales technologies relevant to modern logistics and supply chain environments.
Travel Availability: Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required for client and partner meetings, with travel conducted in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
