Responsibilities:
NJ PIP/No-Fault Arbitration

- Draft and submit appeals
- Conduct settlement negotiations
- Appear for remote arbitration hearings
- Collaborate with paralegals for filing and administrative support
NJ Workers' Compensation (Medical Provider Claims)
- File matters via NJ eCourts WC Portal (CourtsOnline)
- Appear for virtual hearings
- Review adversary submissions
- Evaluate claims and make settlement offers
- Work with paralegals on appellate matters
NJ Commercial Arbitrations (Surprise Bill IDRs)
- Analyze and fee schedule cases
- Prepare and submit arbitration briefs (largely templated)
- Coordinate with paralegal staff for filings and appeals
NY Commercial Arbitrations (Surprise Bill IDRs)
- Draft arbitration briefs
- Assemble UCR (Usual, Customary, Reasonable) evidence
- Create fee schedule comparison charts
- Communicate with clients for case input as needed
- Collaborate with paralegals for filing and appeals
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- NJ bar, active and in good standing (required); NY bar (preferred)
- 2+ years of NJ PIP arbitration experience
- Strong working knowledge of the NJ PIP Fee Schedule
- Experience handling arbitration hearings and settlement negotiations
- Work onsite Monday-Friday in our Fairlawn office
Salary Range: $150,000-180,000 / year, commensurate with experience
Benefits:
- 100% employer paid Medical Insurance, starting day 1
- 100% employer paid Dental and Vision Insurance, starting within 31 days
- 401(k) with Employer Safe Harbor Contributions
- Profit Sharing
- Cash Balance Plan (similar to pension)
