Over View

Seeking a Software Developer to support automation and resiliency efforts across SaaS-based network infrastructure for a major financial services client. This role will support the Branch 3.0 initiative by addressing critical findings raised by CTC around network observability, reliability, and tooling integration. Ideal for developers with a strong networking foundation, this role bridges application development with infrastructure automation and telemetry consolidation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend applications and APIs in Java and Python to support wired and wireless network platforms (Juniper, Arista CloudVision, Mist, Cradlepoint, Cisco DNA Center).
• Create and integrate automated health check dashboards to consolidate telemetry and performance data from multiple network OEMs.
• Build scalable tools for monitoring, alerting, and remediation across the branch network SaaS stack.
• Participate in resiliency design reviews and help enforce service level objectives through observability tooling (e.g., Splunk).
• Collaborate with network engineers, SREs, and platform owners to close gaps across infrastructure automation and service reliability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements and IaC using tools like Terraform, Jenkins, and Git.
• Provide ongoing code maintenance, deployment, and peer reviews in a production-sensitive environment.
• Assist with issue remediation and post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence and improve operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development or DevOps roles, preferably in infrastructure or network-focused environments.
• Strong programming skills in Java (primary) and Python (for scripting and automation).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with APIs both building and integrating with third-party platforms and telemetry systems.
• Knowledge of network architecture and concepts (wired/wireless, telemetry, monitoring).
• Experience working with or automating against networking platforms, including:
  - Arista CloudVision
  - Mist
  - Cisco DNA Center / Catalyst
  - Juniper
  - Cradlepoint
• Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools like Splunk, Prometheus, or Dynatrace.

Nice to Have:

• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) background or DevOps experience in a financial services or large enterprise environment.
• Exposure to dashboard development for health checks and service visibility (e.g., "Danny-style" dashboards).
• Familiarity with hybrid network environments and integration across OEMs.
• Ability to distill complex platform health telemetry into actionable insights.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to interface with infrastructure and application teams.
