Upstream Manufacturing Associate/Scientist PM
Location: Piscataway, NJ
Hours/Schedule: Night Shift 7:00pm-7:00am, 2-2-3 rotating schedule
Type: Contract to Direct Hire
Pay: Starting $31/hour (Based on experience) + shift differential Responsibilities:
- Execute upstream mammalian cell culture operations for commercial-scale batches (at least 200L)
- Operate and monitor single-use bioreactors and associated systems
- Perform batch execution, sampling, in-process monitoring, and manage deviations
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues during manufacturing runs
- Complete GMP documentation, including batch records, logbooks, and deviations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with downstream, QA, and engineering teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
- Purification column expertise: BPG/AxiChrom, Exprime
- AKTA Process Skids, TFF / UF-DF
- GMP batch execution and documentation
- Single-use systems (bags, tubing, columns)
- BS/MS in Chemical, Biological, or Biochemical Sciences
- 4–5+ years biopharma manufacturing, GMP/aseptic required
- Nice-to-Have: Biosimilars, cleaning validation, audit/BLA support
