A very stable and profitable international insurance / reinsurance company with headquarters location in Central Morris County is seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant to add to their team. The successful candidate will have an Accounting or FInance Degree and 2+ years of relevant accounting experience either in public or private accounting. MUST have VERY strong EXCEL skills including V Lookups, Pivot Tables and Formulas. Will be responsible for traditional accounting functions including Month End Close, G/L reconciliations, Journal Entries and Financial Reporting. Will assist in the preparation of periodic financial statements on a STAT, GAAP and IFRS basis so a great role to learn the P& C insurance business. NO PRIOR INSURANCE accounting experience is required, just a solid accounting foundation and a desire to learn about this industry. The company is currently on a HYBRID schedule with 3x a week in the office and 2 days remote. Should be in the office more for training for the first few months. Position will work under a CPA with public accounting and strong insurance industry experience so will get great training and experience.
