A family in Short Hills is seeking a warm and patient nanny for their two young boys, ages 3 years and 6. Typical schedule is Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 8 pm and Fridays from 8 am to 6:30 pm. The family can be flexible with hours depending on their weekly schedules, but would need the nanny to be consistent.

 

Duties include:
All meal preparation for the children, including lunches and snacks for school. Doing the children’s laundry. Tidying up after them. Making appointments for the children when necessary. Doing occasional errands when time allows such as picking up dry cleaning, meeting repairmen, grocery shopping, and going to the post office.

 

Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this family is fun, supportive, patient, and empathetic. They are proactive and ready for a challenge! These parents emphasize positivity and the need for space when there is conflict. They hope to find a nanny willing to work with them closely to solve any behavioral issues. Above all, Nanny needs to be warm, positive, and open-minded with the children. Experience with ADHD strongly preferred.

 

About the children:
This 10-year-old is smart, funny, creative, and sensitive. He has anxiety and can act out at times, so he needs a supportive and loving hand to get him through his more difficult moments. He likes to know the day’s plan, as he sometimes struggles with transitions. He loved sports, football, baseball, basketball, and video games.

The 7-year-old is sweet and cuddly with a sharp sense of humor. He loves reading, video games, and AC building.

Both siblings love playing together and doing things together but will also fight like cat and dog.
