Were actively seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for an inpatient-only locum tenens opportunity in New Jersey . This assignment offers a streamlined schedule, a solo hospital-based role, and access to a collaborative inpatient team including Hospitalists and Intensivists. This is a fantastic opportunity for a GI physician looking to take on meaningful cases in a supportive environment without clinic responsibilities.

Position Details:

• Setting: Inpatient-only (No clinic)
• Schedule: MondayFriday | 8-hour shifts | Emergency call coverage required
• Average Daily Census: 510 patients
• Support: Solo coverage with support from Hospitalists & Intensivists (No APPs)
• EMR: EPIC
• Start: ASAP
• Block OR time available for procedures

Scope of Practice:

You will manage a diverse range of GI conditions, including urgent and emergent inpatient cases. Access to state-of-the-art equipment and a full-service GI suite ensures optimal care delivery.

Key Procedures May Include:

• Diagnostic & Therapeutic ERCP
• Diagnostic EGD
• Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
• Total Colonoscopy
• Argon Plasma Coagulation
• PEG placement
• Esophageal dilation & stent placement
• Pneumatic dilation for achalasia
• Paracentesis
• GI tumor ablation
• Snare Polypectomy
• Management of GI bleeding (acute & massive)
• Ulcerative colitis, Crohns disease, malabsorption
• Video capsule enteroscopy
• IV conscious sedation (ACLS required)

Ideal Candidate:

• Board-Certified in Gastroenterology
• Comfortable working independently in an inpatient setting
• Proficient in advanced GI procedures
• Licensed (or IMLC-eligible) in New Jersey preferred
• ACLS certified
