Position Overview:
CFMA is seeking a Partner Relationship Manager to join our Member Engagement team. This role is ideal for an experienced advertising or media professional who excels at building long-term, trust-based relationships and prefers a collaborative, value-driven environment over a high-pressure sales model.
This is not a commission-based sales role. Instead, success is measured by relationship strength, retention, partner satisfaction, and year-over-year performance. The Relationship Manager serves as a strategic partner to advertisers, sponsors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment, engagement, and long-term success across CFMA’s platforms and programs.
Reporting to the VP of Member Engagement, this role requires strong communication skills, professional maturity, and the ability to manage multiple partner relationships with care, consistency, and strategic insight.
What You’ll Do:
Partner & Advertiser Relationship Management
- Build, manage, and grow long-term relationships with advertisers, partners, and key stakeholders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness
- Foster trust-based relationships that prioritize alignment and long-term value over transactional selling
Strategic Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including marketing, editorial, events, and leadership
- Develop a deep understanding of partner goals and recommend thoughtful, value-driven advertising and sponsorship solutions
- Support renewal conversations and partnership continuity through consultative engagement
Performance & Organization
- Track partner activity, engagement, and inventory using HubSpot and Monday.com
- Monitor year-over-year performance metrics and relationship health indicators
- Ensure advertising inventory is effectively managed across print, digital, and sponsored offerings
Events & Representation
- Represent CFMA professionally at conferences, partner meetings, and industry events
- Participate in occasional travel (approximately quarterly) to support relationship-building and visibility
What We’re Looking For:
Experience & Background
- 10+ years of experience in advertising sales, media, or a related field
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Experience working with advertisers, sponsors, or partners in a consultative capacity
