Estimator

We specialize in engineering, custom fabrication, bending, routing, welding and finishing in all types of metals from aluminum, galvanized and stainless to the exotics with a focus on safety, green initiatives and Lean Kaizen principles throughout. Our primary markets are pharmaceutical, health care, industrial, institutional and high-rise office and residential in the northeast corridor for installation and we service all 48 states with design and fabrication offerings as well. We are seeking a skilled and proficient Estimator to join our growing team. The Estimator will work with Senior Estimators, the Preconstruction team and our Sales team to review project plans, requirements and specifications. This position will also perform take-offs of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Perform take-offs using architectural drawings using Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel software.


• Communicate with customers to determine scope of work.


• Assist sales team when reviewing scope of work.


• Solicit vendor pricing.


• Collaborates with other departments as needed.


• Performs other duties and tasks as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.


• Fluency in English.


• Strong communication skills.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.


• Strong internal and external customer service focus, with a genuine desire to assist others.


• Strong sense of personal accountability.


• Construction estimator aptitude in the architectural metal industry.


• Knowledge of reading architectural drawings.


• Knowledge of Bluebeam software.


• Prior Estimating Experience required.
