SISSCO Material Handling / Permadur Industries is hiring for an experienced CNC Machinist . This position will be responsible for the programming and operation of our Haas VF-11/50 CNC Machine . The responsibilities will also include many other manual machining functions on our various milling and turning machines along with assistance in assembling our products.

Responsibilities:

• Review and understanding of machining/fabrication drawings.
• Set and adjust tool offsets and select and set up tooling and fixtures.
• Understanding of all machine shop measuring tools including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Ability to monitor the part run cycles and quality inspect when completed.
• Understand cutting tools, material and tool speed feed rates, coolant requirements and other machining techniques.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of machining experience in a custom lot manufacturing process
• 5+ years of CNC Machining experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of tooling
• Ability to interpret machining/fabrication drawings.
• Strong ability in mechanical assembly
• Ability to work in a Production Team Environment, work well with others in and outside of the department.

This position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of CNC machining processes and the ability to produce high-quality parts efficiently.
