Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Patrol Reporting Rounds in Paramus, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail mall setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will complete routine patrols, document observations, and deliver outstanding customer service to guests and tenants. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, entrances, loading and receiving areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter prohibited activity and identify maintenance and operational concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with lost children and/or property, disruptive behavior, alarms, and medical incidents, and escalating to local emergency services as needed.
- Monitor activity and access at assigned posts, observe CCTV when assigned, and complete security-related logs and reports with clear, accurate details for site management and Allied Universal leadership.
- Interact professionally with the public, provide directions and general assistance, and communicate promptly with property management and/or store representatives regarding security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1+ years of Security Experience.
- Be 21+ Years of Age.
- Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
