The Laboratory Inventory Job Details:

Must be able to work: Monday - Friday 9am -5pm

Combination of processes used to manage the supply of equipment, materials, and other resources in the lab. Some key components of inventory management include tracking and ordering, checking availability, locating storage, managing audit logs to check consumption, predicting future needs, and managing safety information. Ensure adequate levels of supplies and associated equipment for the Department of Pathology, Core Lab and Molecular.

Essential Job Functions:

• Purchasing of laboratory supplies and equipment.
• Keep track of stock levels across the lab during all inventory cycle stages to make sure that you never run out of needed ingredients. On top of that, prevent overstocking and understocking by analyzing and forecasting demand based on ingredient consumption
• Works with accounts payable to ensure timely approval and payments of invoices.
• Negotiate/ review and renew all service/ reagent contracts, reagent/supplies prices, cost with management.
• Responsible for fiscal year end operating budget costs.
• Supervises department inventory to assure proper supply inventory, incoming receipt, documentation, and dissemination to their appropriate Departments
• Assists the Administrator and Directors in preparing and maintaining annual budget for inventory as needed based on volume tests and other factors.
• Responsible for service contract negotiations and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
• Coordinates department’s purchasing contracts and negotiates with vendors to assure best product choice, price, delivery, and product reliability.
• Keeps track of all inventories, checking invoices, uploading invoices of all lab supplies.
• Ordering lab supplies as needed based on the volume in the lab and supervisor recommendation.

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating drivers, equipment and patient specimens while meeting customer and company requirements.

Daily Responsibilities:

· Answer calls within 4th ring

· Taking High volume calls

· Problem solving

· Working in Microsoft Office

· Working in Courier software

· Complete forms

· Checking drivers in and out for shifts

· Coordinating deliveries

· Monitor status of deliveries

· Coordinating with Operations Manager

Requirements:

· Must be 21 years of age or older and eligible to work in the US

· Must have a valid Driver License.

· Able to demonstrate ability to perform duties with minimal supervision

· Two years dispatch experience in a high volume, high stress environment preferably in a commercial laboratory setting.

· Experience handling difficult clients and customers.

· Experience handling several tasks at once without error or diminution of professional demeanor and customer service.
