Human Resources Preparer
Position Details Position Information Recruitment/Posting Title Human Resources Preparer Job Category Staff & Executive - Human Resources Department UHR- Human Capital Management Overview Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Human Resources Preparer for University Human Resources. This position, under the direct supervision of the Director Human Capital Management, reviews actions requested by departments to be submitted for HCM processing; completes data input through templates for daily, individual, salary and data actions for faculty and staff from hire through termination; and submits to the HR Approver for review and submission through the HCM Unit or directly to the Payroll Database. Among the key duties of this position are the following: - Reviews documentation for compliance with federal and state regulations, university policy, and bargaining units' contracts before entering the request into the workflow.
- Monitors workflow and follows up to ensure the completion of tasks within deadlines.
- Maintains and updates all databases and programs needed to execute actions and track and report on activities.
- Ensures good customer service and the confidentiality of work, databases, and communications.
- May assist with the review, update, and documentation of new procedures for work.
- Runs reports, tracks data, reviews, and works to ensure accurate submissions within deadlines.
Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Day Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with PeopleSoft Human Capital Management systems, university HR and payroll processing, and with MS Access.
- PeopleSoft HRMS experience.
