Job DescriptionAs a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Englewood Cliffs, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a dynamic location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will interact with employees, visitors, and guests, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This position requires driving as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A valid security-related guard card or license is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
