Junior Accountant
Staff Accountant
Position OverviewThe Junior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is proficient in accounting software and can analyze financial data to support management decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor and analyze expenses and revenues
- Support the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors
- Utilize ERP systems such as Epicor for effective financial management
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, preferably Epicor
- Strong skills in Excel, including Vlookup and Pivot Tables
- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Experience with financial analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of GAAP and auditing processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
