Machine Builder / Mechanical Assembly Technician

A growing manufacturer of custom automation and industrial equipment is seeking a Machine Builder to assemble and support the installation of complex machinery used in production environments.

This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys building equipment from blueprints, troubleshooting systems, and working closely with engineering teams to bring machines to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components for custom machinery

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate builds

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during assembly and installation

• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to improve machine performance and functionality

• Perform equipment maintenance, adjustments, and repairs as needed

• Maintain clear documentation of assembly procedures and updates to technical manuals

• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on machine assembly experience

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Technical training or certification in mechanical technology, automation, or related field preferred

• Previous experience as a Machine Builder, Mechanical Assembler, or Equipment Technician strongly preferred

Physical & Work Environment

• Work in an industrial manufacturing environment around mechanical equipment

• Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and move throughout the facility

• Manual dexterity to work with tools and machinery components

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
