We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager for our PLC HMI Automation Controls Engineering systems R&D Build and Design Engineering team. This leadership position plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the development and implementation of innovative automation solutions, ensuring that our technology remains at the forefront of the industry. As the Manager, you will oversee a talented group of engineers and technical specialists, guiding projects from concept through to execution. You will be responsible for fostering a collaborative environment where creativity and technological advancements thrive. Your expertise in PLC and HMI systems will be crucial in enhancing our existing processes, while your strong leadership skills will enable you to mentor team members and drive projects to successful completion. Additionally, you will be tasked with collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of PLC and HMI automation systems.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineering professionals in controls systems design.
- Oversee project timelines, budgeting, and resource allocation for R&D projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for automation projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and product quality.
Requirements (experience with 'most' of the following is preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in controls engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proficient in PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text) and HMI development.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation standards and safety protocols.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and lead innovative design solutions.
