Banquet Captain
Job Title: Food and Beverage Captain.
Location: TPC Jasna Polana, Princeton, NJ.

Jasna Polana was built in the early 1970’s as a residential property.
No effort or expense was spared in the four and a half years it took to build this exquisite 230-acre estate.
The decision to convert this magnificent estate into a world-class championship golf and social club was made after Jasna Polana was no longer being used as the family’s primary residence. As the first Tournament Players Club in the greater New York/Philadelphia area, the TPC Jasna Polana is part of an exclusive network of TPC facilities worldwide. Jasna accommodates multiple Food and Beverage outlets, including banquet facilities, The Oak Room Bar, Meadows Dining Room, Living Room, Crown Derby suites and two on course lodging properties.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and professional Food and Beverage Captain as an addition to our current Banquet Captains & Banquet operations. This leadership role will oversee the smooth delivery of food and beverage service, ensuring all members & guests receive a seamless and memorable experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and a deep understanding of luxury service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works closely with F&B & Catering directors & attend weekly BEO meetings to set every event up for success.
- Provide direct support to the management team and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Train, motivate, and evaluate team members to maintain high standards of service, presentation, and professionalism.
- Monitor member & guest satisfaction and promptly address any concerns or requests, ensuring exceptional experiences.
- Ensure all food and beverage items are presented according to the highest standards.
- Maintain equipment inventory control and ensure proper setup and breakdown of events and service areas.
- Assist in creating and implementing service standards and procedures for both À la Carte and Banquet settings.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Take responsibility for handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions as required.
- Support in the planning and execution of special events, including menu selections, floor plans, and guest arrangements.
- Additional leadership/service support for A La Carte Member Dining where needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Food and Beverage Captain/manager or in a similar leadership role, preferably in private clubs, luxury hotels or high-end dining environments.
- Strong knowledge of Banquet service operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a deep commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including fine dining etiquette.
- Proficient in POS systems, inventory management, and basic financial controls.
- Fluent in English (additional languages a plus).
