Compliance Risk Management Lead - Vice President

As a Compliance Risk Management Lead Vice President within Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk (CCOR) supporting the Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) team, you will play a key part in supporting the governance and implementation of AWM CCOR framework practices and second line of defense (2LOD) challenge programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across AWM and the broader organization, to support oversight and guidance on both firm-wide (FW) and line of business (LOB) framework practices. This role will offer you the opportunity to engage with stakeholders globally, drive process improvements, and help ensure the effective governance of key compliance and operational risks program within Asset & Wealth Management and across the firm.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with AWM Compliance teams and other control functions across regions, maintaining strong working relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
- Support the governance and implementation of 2LOD challenge and framework programs.
- Participate in crossline of business meetings to facilitate the implementation of framework activities, projects, and process enhancements.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the firm-wide library of compliance risks and their applicability to AWM businesses globally.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of firm-wide risk assessment standards and rating methodologies.
- Prepare LOB reports and metrics for presentation to CCOR senior management.
- Interface with and provide guidance to compliance groups responsible for training, monitoring & surveillance, and testing, ensuring that risk assessment results inform their annual plans.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance framework governance, including opportunities for automation.
- Possess strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results across multiple initiatives.
Support AWM CCOR business management in monitoring staffing, budgets, real estate, and business resiliency plans.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of previous experience in a control environment (such as Compliance, Risk, Operations, or Audit) within a leading financial services firm.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with a proven ability to prioritize and efficiently complete assignments while maintaining high-quality output.
- Working knowledge of 2LOD Risk Assessment Program and independent challenge and oversight programs.
- Effective Communication Skills at all levels of Management: Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills, including the ability to conduct training and group presentations
- Demonstrated team player with the ability to build strong cross-business relationships, proven flexibility, adaptability, and reliability.
- Collaborative and Adaptable Team Player: Must thrive in a dynamic, global team environment and embrace collaboration (with the ability to work independently)
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be flexible in work style and be able to work appropriately with global stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.
- Experience in the design, development, compilation, analysis, generation, and distribution of reports.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Preferred knowledge of Asset & Wealth Management business (globally), products and services.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or professional license preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Skills in artificial intelligence, including experience in developing, deploying, and optimizing AI models and solutions to support business innovation and efficiency.
- Compliance, Operational Risk and/or Risk Assessment experience desired
