Position Title: Compliance Specialist
Location: 100 Deforest Ave, East Hanover, NJ - 07936
Duration: 1 year contract with possible extension

Description:
Customs Compliance Analyst - Work with the NA Customs team to implement efficient importation processes into the U.S., as well as facilitate a process to analyze customs value declarations for accuracy, and correct accordingly.

Heavily focused on data analysis, heavy spreadsheet Excel critical. - Good with reviewing, manipulating, and auditing data in Excel.

Familiarity with global trade compliance is a big plus, with import/export custom compliance.

• Good with numbers/understanding of basic accounting principles-
• Experience with customs reconciliation compliance import/export
• Adaptability to systems, to independently generate reports by following instructions
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
• Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information

Job tasks:

• Communicate with customs brokers/Customs team members to review import transactions for accuracy and completeness
• Work to adjust the value of high volume imports, that will be reported to U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP)
• Compile lists of packaging suppliers/number of SKUs/value of merchandise from Procurement
• Update extensive list of imported items, adding separate packaging details for future use when imported
