Seasonal Retail Keyholder

As a leading employer on the Outer Banks for 50 years, Kitty Hawk Kites is looking to add an experienced, energetic Seasonal Retail Keyholder to our Barnegat Light, NJ location for the summer of 2025. This is a temporary position.

• Ensure an enthusiastic and professional level of customer service at all times
• Working well with all ages of general public
• Attend weekly store meetings
• Learning and stocking merchandise
• Accurately and efficiently ring up customer sales
• Maintain orderly appearance of register area
• Maintain awareness of current promotions and advertisements
• Adhere to all company policies and guidelines
• Cleaning store
• Maintaining sales floor, this includes folding shirts, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms and any other activity assigned by manager
• Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Completing training program in a reasonable amount of time
• Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques
• Monitor and assist cashiers and other retail staff as needed
• Train and support new team members
• Open and close store, carry keys, disarm and arm alarm system
• Handle managerial tasks when the manager and assistant managers are unavailable
• Other duties as assigned

There are occasions when work outdoors will be necessary, when this happens one can expect to deal with the natural elements. The noise level in this position is moderate.

Physical Requirements
About 1/3 of one's time will be spent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. 1/3 to 2/3 of one's time will be spent standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. Expect to lift up to 25 lbs. Some other physical demands come from continuous computer work, cash register work, sales floor work, events work, and mail order work.
