Annual Salary: $35/hr – $55/hr (varies depending on years of experience)

A well-established medical center is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join their diagnostic imaging team. This role involves performing nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures with precision and care, contributing to both diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician instructions and safety protocols.
• Operate PET/CT and gamma camera systems to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and complete safety screening prior to imaging procedures.
• Archive completed studies in PACS and verify proper documentation in RIS.
• Assist patients with positioning and comfort during imaging exams.
• Maintain imaging equipment and work areas in clean, functional condition.
• Stay informed on advancements in nuclear medicine and PET/CT techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support patient care and imaging accuracy.
• Adapt to changing patient needs and workflow demands in a dynamic clinical environment.

Qualifications:

• Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology through ARRT and/or NMTCB.
• Valid state licensure (e.g., NJ DEP) and current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• At least one year of hands-on experience in nuclear medicine or PET/CT imaging preferred.
• Strong grasp of human anatomy, physiology, and vascular systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to maintain composure under pressure.
• Capable of critical thinking and problem-solving in clinical settings.
• Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment and responding to emergencies effectively.
