Pay Range: $56.31 - $79.54 per hour

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Essential Functions:

• Performs maintenance and repairs on linear accelerators and therapy simulators used in radiation therapy.
• Checks all functions pertaining to safe and proper operation of linear accelerators and therapy simulators.
• Check alignment of patient positioning devices in the treatment and simulator rooms including lasers, field lights, and distance indicator readouts.
• Performs routine periodic maintenance as per factory-designated schedules.
• Responsible for implementing and testing equipment upgrades.
• Be thoroughly familiar with electronic and mechanical components of linear accelerators and therapy simulators.
• Be available for emergency on-call repair for all machines and be willing to work after treatment hours to correct malfunctions.
• Be willing to travel to any SBHCS site as scheduled or requested.
• Work with and assist medical physics in machine calibrations or problems that would affect beam quality.
• Will respond to all problems in a courteous and professional manner.

Job Requirements:

• At least 3 years’ service experience with radiation therapy linear accelerators and simulators.
• Needs to use Radiation Safety protocols & High Voltage safety.
• Needs to be able to lift 50 to 75 lbs.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required within one (1) year of hire.
• Candidates who do not possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent will be provided the opportunity to enroll in a GED/HSEA program at time of hire as a condition of employment. A hired candidate will be provided one (1) year from date of hire to successfully complete a GED program and obtain their HSEA.
