Good Friend is looking for FULL-TIME RETAIL COUNTER SALES ASSOCIATES for our Electrical Supply Counters located in Ocean & Monmouth counties.

Use your customer service and retail sales skills in our HANDS-ON/FAST PACED/ ON YOUR FEET environment to assist customers with purchases of lighting and electrical supplies.

Job responsibilities include:

• Greeting and assisting customers with product selection.
• Processing sales orders, returns and special orders accurately and efficiently.
• Gathering sales order items from warehouse.
• Receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Communication with customers and manufacturers in person, via phone & email.
• Store merchandising and inventory management.
• Marketing new products and promotions.
• General retail store and store maintenance responsibilities.

Electrical supply or related distribution or box store sales experience is a plus , but not required.

No nights or Sundays. Must be available to work Saturdays as needed.

Weekly overtime available.

Store Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm, Saturday 8am - 12pm

JOB LOCATION PLACEMENT - We are hiring for the Counter Sales position. Associates will be placed at a store based on business need and could be at ANY of our 6 locations (Lakewood, Wall, Brick, Lacey, Manahawkin & Toms River)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 + year experience in a retail sales role.
• Proven success in providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast pace environment.
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
• Ability to lift boxes and material (typically not more than 30lbs.)
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
