We’re looking for a driven and enthusiastic Field Market Manager to help expand our brand presence across New Jersey’s cannabis market. This role plays a key part in rooting our retail footprint through unique, on-the-ground experiences that connect with both consumers and dispensary partners.

Role Summary
The Field Market Manager oversees a team of Brand Ambassadors responsible for executing consumer-facing brand awareness and cannabis education initiatives through in-store events, interactive experiences, and product activations throughout New Jersey. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with dispensary partners, ensuring consistent and compliant brand representation, and supporting marketing and sales objectives.
The Field Market Manager focuses on delivering effective retail experiences that connect consumers and retail partners with the brand, driving engagement and contributing to sales growth. This position plays an integral part in shaping field marketing strategy and advancing the company’s presence in the regulated cannabis market.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Oversight
- Lead and mentor a team of Brand Ambassadors to drive brand recognition, purchase conversion growth and retail engagement across the New Jersey cannabis market.
- Execute strategic field marketing initiatives that foster dispensary relationships and ensure impactful, compliant brand representation through data-driven outreach.
- Provide leadership, cannabis education, and operational support to deliver memorable in-store experiences and product activations that bring the brand to life.
- Manage team performance, scheduling, and the consistent execution of pop-ups and interactive experiences.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for field marketing operations, offering training, guidance, and accountability.
- Maintain event calendars and territory coverage plans to support sales goals and maximize brand visibility.
Retail Engagement & Education
- Cultivate strong relationships with dispensary staff, managers, and budtenders to build brand loyalty.
- Host budtender training sessions focused on product education, cannabinoid profiles, and brand storytelling.
- Promote cannabis education to both consumers and dispensary staff.
- Ensure all team members deliver consistent messaging and maintain compliance with NJ state cannabis regulations.
Field Activation & Event Execution
- Plan, schedule, and oversee the setup and breakdown of all dispensary pop-ups and in-store interactive events.
- Ensure proper use and upkeep of branded materials, including signage, swag, and sampling displays.
- Create memorable interactive experiences and cultivate deep brand awareness by using cannabis knowledge to communicate product quality, uniqueness, and value.
- Support on-site execution as needed and step in to lead activations for high-priority accounts.
- Plan, set up, and maintain in-store display assets to promote brand visibility and support product launches.
- Collaborate with sales teams to align displays with promotions, sales goals, and retail strategies.
- Monitor display effectiveness and gather stakeholder feedback to inform future improvements.
- Adjust merchandising strategies based on store needs, local trends, and broader brand objectives.
Sales Support & Marketing Strategy
- Align field efforts with sales objectives, collaborating with the sales team to identify key accounts and growth opportunities.
- Track field marketing activities and event performance to assess ROI, highlight effective strategies, and share insights with the leadership to support resource planning and future campaign allocation.
- Use CRM tools to document visits, track performance, and report on field activities.
- Gather real-time feedback and market insights from the field to refine product positioning and promotional strategies.
- Support sales objectives by coordinating in-store display assets that drive product visibility, enhance promotions, and reinforce brand positioning at the point of sale.
Compliance & Reporting
- Uphold NJ cannabis regulations and ensure all activities and activations are fully compliant.
- Monitor and enforce Brand Ambassador adherence to allowable actions during events.
- Compile event reports, sales impact summaries, and trend insights to support broader marketing strategies.
- Track and report on market trends, dispensary partner feedback, and consumer insights to inform localized marketing strategies and align departmental goals with real-time market needs.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years’ experience in cannabis field marketing, sales support, or brand activation.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
- Deep knowledge of cannabis products, consumption methods and cannabinoid profiles.
- Skilled at communicating brand quality, uniqueness, and value to consumers and retail partners.
- Proficient with CRM platforms, retail ordering systems, and Microsoft Office Suite..
- Persuasive communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills with a focus on education and community engagement.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, negotiation, presentation, and people skills.
- Experienced in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives and building lasting retail partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to educate consumers and retail partners while delivering engaging brand experiences.
- Familiarity with sales-supportive marketing channels such as in-store displays, trade promotions, print collateral, and social media, with an understanding of what is permitted under state/local cannabis regulations.

- Use of personal vehicle for statewide travel; mileage and travel costs reimbursed.
- Physically able to lift and transport event materials (e.g., tables, tents, signage).
- Must be at least 21 years old to comply with state regulations.
- Willingness to undergo background checks, fingerprinting and able to obtain ID badging clearance per New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJ CRC) terms.
- Working knowledge of NJ CRC regulations.
