Position: Physician Assistant - Neurosurgery

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant for a combo day/night shift role. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, eager to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and has a deep understanding of neurosurgery. Responsibilities include assessing patients independently, ordering labs/tests/consults, evaluating inpatient consults, rounding on hospital patients at five area hospitals, and performing history and physicals. The role requires a commitment to providing high-quality care and continuous learning.

Responsibilities :

• Evaluate inpatient consults and round on hospital patients at five area hospitals.
• Perform comprehensive history and physicals.
• Assess patients independently and order appropriate labs/tests/consults.
• Assist in surgical cases as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with the attending physician and PA team.
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to hospital policies.
• Stay updated with advancements in neurosurgery and seek professional development opportunities.

Schedule :

• 3 / 12's shifts, including days and nights
• Weekends and holidays included

Qualifications :

• Master's of Science in Physician Assistant Studies
• Valid New Jersey DEA and CDS licenses
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Board Certification
• Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Willingness to learn and stay current in neurosurgery
