The Senior Principal, Network Architect is responsible for defining, evolving, and governing the enterprise’s global network architecture. This role leads the design of highly scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, ensuring alignment with long‑term business strategy, technology roadmaps, and industry best practices. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, the role translates complex business and security requirements into future‑ready network architectures. This role works across all levels of the business, with emphasis on providing expert cloud network infrastructure support to IT management and users, with a focus on AWS and GCP.
Essential Key Responsibilities
• Define cloud network requirements, establish architecture, and detail designs and standards that meet business goals.
• Setting technical solutions for new products that use D&B’s network security infrastructure or cloudbased connectivity models.
• Effectively manage and support LAN/WAN network implementations and configurations, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, and DNS, and performs equipment upgrades.
• Define, measure, and analyze key metrics to assess overall effectiveness of LAN/WAN network performance, capacity, cloud quotas and associated monitoring.
• Adheres to and supports change, incident, and problem management ITIL processes.
• Provide leadership to manage the network infrastructure and related support organizations including MSPs, cloud providers, and communications vendors.
• Perform root cause analysis and problem resolutions, provide recommendations, build consensus, and execute solutions.
• Recommend appropriate course of action to network infrastructure engineers, NOC, MSPs, and IT Version: 1 management on technical and operations issues.
• Proactively identifies, recommends, and champions emerging technologies, monitoring solutions, and processes that will enhance the end user experience that can be supported by Technology.
Skills and/or Certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, with minimum of 15 years’ experience with network engineering, support, or similar technical experience, including but not limited to IPsec, TCP/IP, Routing, DNS, Firewalls.
• Expert knowledge of implementing enterprise level cloud architecture with a focus on network design and implementation. AWS & GCP with a focus on GCP.
• Expert knowledge of network infrastructures, networking protocols, standards and associated configurations, VPN access, Firewalls, Proxies and other security appliances and solutions.
• Experience with high level programing languages such as Python or Java or familiarity with Infrastructure as code specifically Terraform.
• Experience with deployment and management of Amazon Web Services (AWS) VPCs and Direct Connects & GCP VPCs at an Enterprise level.
• Experience with using Ansible\Harness to automate network configuration standardization.
• Understand the NOC role and functionality and the ability to manage day to day incidents and problem resolutions.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal users, vendors, and customers.
• Having network related cert like CCNA. CCNP, CCSA, CCSE, CCIE and/or related university exam.
• Able to work within a collaborative team environment containing local and remote team members.
• Open for flexible working hours (evening work and service weekend work) per support rotation schedule.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Skills.
