We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Support team member to join our team on a contract to hire basis in Port Newark, New Jersey.
Responsibilities:
- Manage front-line communication between the warehouse and internal/external personnel.
- Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, processing paperwork, and maintaining accurate records to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact at the warehouse dispatch or shipping/receiving window
- Check drivers in and out, verifying required documentation (e.g., BOLs, shipping manifests)
- Schedule and coordinate dock appointments and communicate with warehouse staff
- Maintain accurate logs of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Process shipping and receiving paperwork using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and office personnel
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and shipping/receiving protocols
- Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries related to shipments and deliveries
- Report any discrepancies or delays in shipments to supervisors
• Familiarity with the logistics industry and its operations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency in using logistics tools and software.
• Problem-solving skills to address customer concerns effectively.
