MEP Drafter
Location : Newark, NJ
Type : Contract (6 Months)
Compensation : $30-$40/hour
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: Monday through Friday (9AM to 5PM)
MEP DRAFTER
RESPONSIBILTIIES:- Will take direction from senior engineers, documenting their designs, producing plans, sections, elevations, single line diagrams, layout drawings, details, schedules, etc.
- Drafting & documentation of MEP systems for various structures
- Planning of electrical infrastructure, including sub-stations, generators, EV charging stations, solar panel arrays, etc.
- Assist with specifications writing
- Preparation of contract documents
- HSD/GED required; secondary education or technical training preferred
- 3-5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with ANSI, NFPA, NEC, and other relevant codes and standards a plus
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and telecommunications drafting preferred
- Understanding of standard MEP drafting symbols
- Revit Drafting a plus
- AutoCAD, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat experience required
