Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A home infusion pharmacy in need of a temporary Pharmacist in Charge seeks a qualified pharmacist licensed in both New Jersey and California. This full-time position offers a 12-week contract opportunity to lead pharmacy operations within a dedicated staff environment.

Location:

• Paterson, NJ (local candidates only)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No on-call responsibilities
• 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Oversee compliance with sterile and hazardous drug compounding standards
• Support staff development, training, and performance management for pharmacists and technicians
• Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and DEA requirements
• Manage pharmacy operations and maintain regulatory compliance
• Review and approve patient care plans, verifying medication appropriateness, dosing, and compatibility

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted pharmacist licenses in both New Jersey and California
• Previous experience in a management or Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) role
• Familiarity with verification of sterile medications
• IV compounding experience strongly preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to work with a team consisting of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, a Director of Pharmacy, and a Pharmacy Coordinator
