Job Summary:

This position within the Operations team will be responsible for processing core functions within operations, including but not limited to:

  • New business quoting for prospective clients.
  • New business policy and endorsement issuance.
  • Broker of Record changes including Book Rolls/Policy Transfers.
  • Overall support of Private Client Select clients through phone and e-mail correspondence.

Performance Objectives/Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills with a focus on achieving team service level goals.
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle phone calls/inquires and associated research for call resolution.
  • Ability or willingness to eagerly learn Broker of Record Changes, Book Rolls and Policy Transfers.
  • Ability to review quote requests, interpret underwriting reports, enter application data into quoting systems and prepare quotations for review by underwriter or agent.
  • Ability to review bind request forms, examine original quotes for accuracy, make changes as necessary and issue policies per agent’s request and underwriter’s instruction.
  • Knowledgeable on the quote to bind process– if necessary, creates quotes that are representative of coverage, premiums, etc. that are referenced on bind requests.
  • Knowledgeable on endorsement processing – ability to make policy changes per agent or underwriter requests in accordance with client service authority guidelines.
  • Ability to review quote requote request, order applicable underwriting reports quote changes per agent or underwriter request and release to underwriter or agent based on authority.
  • Ability to handle VIP or special handling accounts.
  • Demonstrate the ability to achieve time service standards as outlined for particular role/function.
  • Demonstrate the ability to achieve quality objectives as outlined for particular role/function.
  • Demonstrates the interest and ability to become cross trained on other functions.
  • Demonstrates the ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert and side by side coach to new hires.
  • Maintain and organize written materials, updates to strategies and state-specific changes to stay knowledgeable.
  • Knowledgeable on organizational structure and associated workflows.

  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel software and a strong aptitude for PC and internet usage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Education - Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 2+ years insurance experience preferred.
