**Job Title: Box Truck Driver / Jockey**

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Box Truck Driver / Jockey to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently transporting goods and jockeying trailers within our facility. As a key member of our logistics team, you will ensure that our products are delivered safely and on schedule while adhering to all transportation laws and company policies.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Safely operate box trucks and other company vehicles to transport goods between destinations.
- Navigate routes efficiently to ensure timely and accurate deliveries and pickups.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo, when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Jockey trailers and containers within the facility to facilitate smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports according to DOT regulations and company procedures.
- Verify delivery information, ensuring the accuracy of orders and signatures upon receipt.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members.
- Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws at all times.

**Qualifications:**

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred.
- Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role, preferably within a logistics or delivery environment.
- Familiarity with GPS devices and local delivery routes.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo, as required.
- Familiarity with transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
