Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration maintenance and repair of various measurement equipment and gauges.
• Conduct precise dimensional inspections of manufactured components and assemblies using a variety of metrology tools.
• Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) optical comparators and other advanced inspection systems.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
• Maintain accurate calibration records documentation and traceability for all measurement instruments.
• Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and assist in root cause analysis for quality-related issues.
• Develop and implement new measurement methods and procedures to improve inspection accuracy and efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and programming various metrology equipment (e.g. CMM optical comparators calipers micrometers).
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with data collection analysis and basic statistical process control (SPC) principles.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and identify root causes.
• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience in a manufacturing quality role.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS)
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g. Minitab JMP) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA) for model review or fixture design
• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for metrology equipment
