As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Penns Grove, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities across an educational campus.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to school personnel and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may need attention.
• Monitor entrances, hallways, and common areas, assist with access control and visitor screening practices, and document security-related observations, incidents, and/or unusual activity according to site guidelines.
• Support arrival, dismissal, and special event coverage by directing foot traffic and/or vehicle traffic, assisting with orderly movement throughout the location, and helping staff address security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
