Job Overview:
The GME Program Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to provide a structured educational program for the benefit of the residents and fellows.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Relevant experience in graduate medical education
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in GME, UME or academic healthcare administration
- Knowledge of ACGME and Institutional Accreditation Standards
- Strong Communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, New Innovations and hospital-based systems
Preferred:
- TAGME certification (Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education)
Scheduling Requirements:
- Days
- FT: Monday-Friday
Essential Functions:
- Manage daily administrative operations of assigned residency or fellowship programs in compliance with ACGME and institutional policies
- Coordinate resident onboarding, credentialing, and offboarding processes in collaboration with GME and HR
- Maintain accurate resident records, evaluations, schedules, and duty hour logs in New Innovations
- Manage recruitment and interview activities through ERAS or ResidencyCas
- Assist with NJ Permit/NJ License for resident/fellows
- Manage Travel requests, educational allowances and conference reimbursement
- Assist in preparing for site visits, annual program evaluations, and ACGME surveys
