Production Leader

Staff Management Group is seeking a Production Leader for our client in Linden, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 8AM - 4:30PM
• Monday - Friday
• Plus overtime
• MUST be available some Sundays

Pay Rate:

• $20 / hour

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Production Leader to join our Outbound Department at our Linden, NJ facility. The Production Leader is responsible for supervising daily outbound operations, guiding warehouse associates, and ensuring that all outgoing orders are processed accurately and efficiently during the 1st shift.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and hands-on warehouse experience. The ideal candidate will lead by example, maintain safety and productivity standards, and support a positive team culture.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate outbound warehouse associates during the 8:00 AM–4:30 PM shift.
• Assign and monitor tasks to maintain workflow, accuracy, and productivity.
• Oversee order fulfillment processes, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging shipments.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers.
• Support onboarding and training for new team members.
• Identify and resolve operational challenges or bottlenecks quickly and effectively.
• Maintain compliance with company safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
• Communicate effectively with management and staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Work Sundays as part of the regular weekly schedule.

Job Requirements:

• MUST be bilingual - English AND Spanish
• Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience, preferably in outbound or fulfillment operations.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to manage workflow, assign tasks, and motivate team members.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment (pallet jack, forklift, reach truck, order picker).
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused work ethic.
• Sunday availability required.
