Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Concrete Repair Technician to engage in heavy, labor-intensive concrete restoration work on both commercial and infrastructure projects. This role involves duties such as chipping, grinding, patching, and structural repair in high-dust, high-intensity environments. Adherence to strict safety procedures, including the use of fall-protection equipment and respirators, is mandatory. The position requires travel to various job sites across New York City and New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy concrete labor tasks including chipping, grinding, patching, and structural repair.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for concrete repair.
• Follow strict safety protocols and wear necessary personal protective equipment, including respirators.
• Travel to and work at various job sites across New York and New Jersey.
• Work comfortably at heights with fall-protection systems.
• Communicate effectively in English; bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are a plus.

Essential Skills

• Experience with heavy concrete labor, including chipping, demolition, and structural repair.
• Strong physical stamina to lift, bend, kneel, and work long hours in demanding environments.
• Proficiency in using chipping guns, grinders, and other concrete repair tools.
• Ability to wear and fit-test a half-face respirator (3M 3000 series).
• Familiarity with construction safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Willingness to travel between NYC and NJ job sites.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in concrete restoration, waterproofing, or structural repair preferred.
• Ability to work on temporary flooring, scaffolding, and elevated platforms.
• Completion of extensive safety training prior to starting.
• Reliable transportation to reach various job sites (initially, tolls are not reimbursed).
• Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate with a primarily Spanish-speaking crew.
• OSHA certifications or SST certification is highly preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln Park, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
