We are seeking an experienced Charter Boat Captain to lead day trips, ensuring safe and enjoyable maritime experiences. The captain will be responsible for operating the vessel, managing a small crew, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards while interacting professionally with customers.
Responsibilities
- Operate the vessel safely during day trips
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
- Navigate using maritime navigation principles and tools
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers
- Perform regular equipment maintenance and inspections
- Lead and manage a small crew effectively
- Respond promptly to emergencies and unforeseen situations
- Maintain accurate logs and records of voyages
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in maritime navigation
- Current USCG Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC)
- Strong skills in vessel operation and safety management
- Ability to interpret weather conditions accurately
- Proven leadership and communication abilities
