Desired skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task are necessary. Ability to read, apply the information to the program and components of those programs. Ability to recognize and identify problems. Ability to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.
Duties/Responsibilities: Review and implement aspects of contracting and grant management for the Water Quality Restoration Grant Unit in the Bureau of Watershed Management. Assist in the administration of water quality restoration grants by ensuring grantees fulfill their obligations, including timely submission of financial and progress reports. Monitor project timelines, tracking expenditures, budgets and verifying deliverables, and provide guidance and support to grantees as needed. Review documentation, coordinate with staff, provide administrative support and maintain records. Serve as the primary point of contact, facilitating clear communication between grantees and the program to ensure successful grant outcomes.
