Experienced Medical Scribe (Remote)
A medical scribe's job is to document interactions between a patient and a healthcare provider in real time, allowing the provider to focus on patient care:
* Medical scribes accompany providers (remotely) in exam rooms, listening and observing interactions with patients and their families. They then document the information in the patient's electronic medical record (EMR).
* Medical scribes may also help with administrative tasks like answering phone calls and retrieving lab reports.
* Medical scribes help improve efficiency and productivity for the healthcare team.
Medical scribes are non-clinical, unlicensed individuals who do not perform patient care. They work under the direct supervision of a clinician, who reviews and edits all documentation.
