Position Summary:

We are seeking a positive, upbeat, and reliable Sterilization Tech to join our Wall Township team.

The Sterilization Tech is an integral member of our dental team, providing essential support for our practice. Responsibilities:

• Cleans, wraps, sterilizes, and disinfects instruments and equipment.
• Ensures compliance with all safety and infection control guidelines during the sterilization process.
• Maintains accurate records of sterilization cycles and equipment maintenance.
• Conducts routine inspections of sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintains the functions of the instrument processing area/department, ensuring all sterilization protocols and infection control standards are met.
• Participates in ongoing training and education related to sterilization techniques and infection control practices.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail with the ability to follow strict protocols and procedures.
• Has excellent organizational skills and can manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Works well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Manages dental lab support tasks, including receiving and sending lab cases.
• Assists with inventory management, ensuring supplies are well-stocked and organized.
• Participates in basic lab work, contributing to the overall efficiency of our practice.
• Present safety training and education sessions at staff meetings.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and Federal and State regulations.
• Follow the annual risk management and safety plans to provide training opportunities to ensure compliance.
• Conduct monthly drills related to all codes at each location. Provide analysis, feedback, improvement needed and retrain/re-educate staff as needed.
• Present safety training and education sessions at staff meetings.
• Follow and implement as assigned the annual risk management and safety plans for required training .

Requirements:

• Sterilization experience required
• Proficiency in Oryx, a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for learning
• Eagerness to excel and provide outstanding patient care
