Company Overview: CTO Dog Training is the fastest-growing boutique dog training business in South Jersey, serving clients across New Jersey, southern New York, and eastern Pennsylvania. As we continue to expand, we're looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Business Manager to help drive growth, oversee daily operations, and enhance our client and community engagement.
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Business Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, manage marketing and social media efforts, and support strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter with experience in small business administration, preferably within the pet care, veterinary, or dog training industry. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects at once, and enjoys working with both people and dogs.
Base Salary/Pay: $36/hour
Responsibilities and Duties:
- • Create and manage content calendars for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other platforms
- • Capture and post engaging photos and videos of dogs in training/boarding
- • Respond to DMs, comments, and reviews to foster community engagement
- • Manage and analyze paid ad campaigns to optimize reach and ROI
- • Coordinate email marketing campaigns and newsletters
- • Research industry trends, services, and pricing to keep the brand competitive
- • Build partnerships with local vets, pet supply stores, and rescue organizations
- • Identify new service opportunities (e.g., online training, merchandise, group classes)
- • Assist with grant applications and small business loan paperwork when needed
- • Oversee daily operations for training and boarding services
- • Ensure compliance with local/state/federal regulations (zoning, safety, animal welfare)
- • Maintain accurate, organized client records, waivers, and service agreements
- • Coordinate staff schedules and team communication
- • Support trainers and apprentices in maintaining a smooth client experience
- • Track income and expenses; generate financial reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
- • Manage payroll, invoices, and vendor payments
- • Collaborate with bookkeeper/accountant for account reconciliation and tax prep
- • Establish and maintain pricing structures for services and products
- • Bachelor’s degree required
- • 3+ years of experience in small business operations, office management, or admin leadership
- • Experience in pet care, dog training, or veterinary field strongly preferred
- • Proven success managing business social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
- • Skilled in customer service, scheduling, and team coordination
- • Familiar with CRM tools, QuickBooks (or similar accounting software), and email marketing platforms
- • Comfortable working around dogs of all breeds and temperaments
- • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
- • Graphic design or video editing experience
- • Previous grant or small business loan writing experience
- • Familiarity with Canva, Meta Ads Manager, etc.
