The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
Performs MRI procedures at a technical level without requiring constant supervision,
Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology
Preferred:
- 1 year experience
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- ARRT required with CEU compliance
- American Registry of MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) accepted in conjunction with ARRT
- American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full Time
- Midshift Schedule
- Tuesday to Friday: 1:00pm – 9:00 pm
- Saturday: 7:00am – 3:00 pm
Essential Functions:
- Analyzes patient physical condition, age and suspected pathology for proper technique
- Assists Radiologist in performing certain radiographic procedures
- Correctly marks images with time and body position
- Ensures patient comfort, physical and mental well being during the examination
- Ensures that room is properly stocked with all needed supplies prior to the beginning of the procedure
- Explains procedures, keeps patient informed of progress and assists patients in transferring on to/off examination table for procedures
